During a whole month dedicated to our love for suits, we could not leave out this kooky pattern mix that screams your passion for fashion in the most original way.
You smiled just there, didn’t you? You either wish you too could pull off this unexpected combination or you felt relieved to see that it actually works. Either way, it made you feel something good and surprisingly pleasant, so here you go, this is proof enough that you CAN mix stripes with squares without being a…well, square. Going back to the crazy seventies, this combo represented gents with artistic inclinations and exciting careers that were so into fashion they could not let go even for one tiny meeting with clients. What has changed since then is some big, important details that now make the look contemporary. Say goodbye to:
·The flared trousers
·The big lapels
·The noisy shirt
·The pointy shoes
THE CLEAR GRAPHIC CURVES OF THE “L’IMPOSANTE” WATCH BY SWATCH, OFFER THE LOOK THE PATTERN BALANCE IT NEEDS.
Now you get the picture, right? So, what you need to concentrate on before you pull off this extra exciting look are the following rules (yes, there are rules here too):
·Ditch the shirt for a soft, neutral colored turtleneck sweater.
·Focus on the color of the lines on your jacket. They need to match the lines on your trousers.
·Be bold on the shape of your trousers. Buy them straight, almost tight, to get the most of the modish appeal they carry.
·Choose simple lace up shoes.
·Since you’ve been good and quiet about everything else, dare to carry a bright colored pocket square.
·Man, that briefcase certainly has found its place, right? It is all about the perfect color combination to the turtleneck and stripes and this baby just brings everything together…
