It’s not easy creating a serious business look when the sun is calling you outdoors but we got the hang of it!
Sure, spring style is a piece of cake when it comes to athletic gear, weekender fun or plain, everyday relaxed looks. The question is, how do you go about creating serious office outfits that don’t look too wintery or exceedingly serious? One thing to surely bet on is the color gray. You may have turned it down in the past, as you could not see beyond its grandpa appeal, now, however, it has come back in full force. The new shades of gray that are introducing themselves in our wardrobe are much closer to a Steve McQueen kind of attitude, a cool and collected gray that matches contemporary attitudes with classic manly coding.
The secret, when opting for a total gray suit, is in the details. First of all, the fabric should be a light cotton/wool that keeps you fresh and comfortable all day long. After that, go ahead and play with your combinations. What we have found to be perfectly in accordance to it is a nice polka dot pattern that keeps repeating itself, whether on the shirt or your pocket square, or, as we did it, both. Your shoes can decide not to be a boring black. As we have told you before, warm brown looks absolutely amazing with ice gray. And, finally, for the “piece de resistance”, did you ever expect a light blue tie to look so hot with a gray suit? No? Well, that is why you have us!
