Sidney Poitier’s teacher, in the 1967 film “To Sir, with love” pairs decent, common pieces with poise and gracefulness, making the simplest suits look tailor made. Surely no one expects you to show up in the meeting room in made-to-measure. Knowing, however, how to carry yourself and be comfortable in the skin you’re in is a whole new ballgame. With Poitier as our starting point, we created this college inspired look that you are going to love:

· A plaid blazer is a wardrobe staple that can have several incarnations. For this one, we gave it a simple, black turtleneck backdrop and a soft, camel coat to quiet it down.
· Instead of wool trousers, that have been the case with us many times before, we opted for a pair of super skinny jeans, to modernize the look and make it easy-going and comfortable.

Your shoes can either match your sweater or your accessories. We decided to pair them with a leather briefcase, in order to enhance the college look feel of the outfit. The camel coat, as we have already elaborated on it before, can be the key piece that binds everything together. Ideally, when you drop it, a whole new attitude emerges _and that seems to be the case with this outfit.
